I build websites for artists that get out of the way

Sheet 01-09 — For artists & musicians

Built the way I built Impy Pilapil’s site: a gallery wall first, a website second. Series and exhibitions, a shop for editions, a press kit or EPK — and nothing between a visitor and the work.

01 — What you get

Six things, none of them in the way

Part 01

Gallery-first templates

Series, works, exhibitions. The image is the layout; everything else is margin.

Part 02

Image pipeline

Upload once. Responsive sizes, colour-managed, lazy-loaded. Big files in, fast pages out.

Part 03

Shop

Prints, editions, merch, tickets. SureCart on WordPress, or Payload + Stripe on Astro.

Part 04

Press kit / EPK

Bio, hi-res images, tech rider, one link to send a gallery, a venue or a journalist.

Part 05

Shows & discography

Dates, venues, releases, embeds. Updated from your phone between sets.

Part 06

Care

Hosting, backups, updates. You stop thinking about the website — that is the point.

03 — How it goes

Six marks on one ruler

  1. 01Look at the work

Studio visit or a folder of images. What leads, what supports.

  2. 02Choose the wall

Which gallery template, what the nav says, what sells.

  3. 03Build

Templates on your real images, not stock.

  4. 04Load the archive

Years of work, titled and dated, in series.

  5. 05Launch

Domain, email, a link for the gallery and the press.

  6. 06Care

Hosting, backups, updates. New work from your phone.

04 — Fit check

Is this your kind of site?

This is for you if
  • You have a body of work and a phone full of photos of it.
  • You sell editions, prints, tickets or merch, or would like to.
  • A gallery, a venue or a journalist keeps asking for “your website”.
  • Your EPK lives in a shared folder and you would rather send a link.
Not for you if
  • You want the website itself to be the artwork — then we talk consultancy first.
  • You need a social feed more than an archive. Instagram is fine; I will link to it.
  • You need a full online store with hundreds of SKUs and a warehouse.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. You upload images and type titles. The templates do the rest, and the Care Package keeps it running.
Can I sell work on it?
Yes — prints, editions, originals, tickets, merch. Payments by card or local wallets, receipts and shipping handled.
I’m a musician, not a visual artist.
Same template, different wall: releases and shows lead, embeds from the platforms you already use, an EPK page with the rider and the photos.
05 — Start a site

Send me the work.

A link to your Instagram or a folder of images is enough. I reply with a template suggestion and a quote.
